Joe Timmons

Joe Timmons is a research fellow at the Institute on Community Integration (ICI) at the University of Minnesota. Since joining the Institute in 2002, he has worked on national research projects and provided technical assistance to individuals and organizations, including federal grantees, related to the transition needs of at-risk youth. He has also been the principal author on four publications. At ICI, his primary project work has supported the National Collaborative on Workforce and Disability for Youth. Prior to his work at ICI, Timmons worked with adolescents and adults in rehabilitation and education settings as a counselor, instructor, and program coordinator for nearly 20 years. He has a master’s degree in blind rehabilitation from Western Michigan University.
